FOUR TOP UK SUMMER DANCE FESTIVALS TO LOOK FORWARD TO.....
GATECRASHER SUMMER SOUND SYSTEM:
The details were released at a large press launch on Thursday 28th February in London. It takes place on Saturday 22nd June at Turweston Aerodrome just outside Oxford and will run from 3pm on Saturday afternoon through to 6am Sunday morning.
It will feature a whopping ten arenas with over 100 DJs playing at the fifteen hour event and believe us, you really are spoilt for choice this year. Most of the major dance styles will be covered including US house, house, progressive, tribal, hard house, hard trance, techno, drum and bass, garage and chilled grooves.
The good news for hard dance lovers is Tidy Trax will be running a hard and energetic stage sponsored by M8 Magazine, dedicated purely and totally to the harder generation with an all star line up providing only the best sounds.
The strong line up for the Tidy Trax Arena features the following;
Tidy Boys, Lisa Lashes, Andy Farley, Anne Savage, BK, Rob Tissera, Nick Sentience, Eddie Halliwell, Paul Glazby, Lee Haslam, Jon Bishop, The Freek, Trophy Twins and a special guest to be announced.
Tidy Boy Andy Pickles spoke of the label's excitement at being involved in this year's Summer Sound System, 'At Tidy Trax our ethos has always been, if you are going to do something, do it well, be that a sleeve design, a website or an event. Therefore when the offers came in for us to work with various festivals in 2002, the main issue was who will best represent our brand and give us the best opportunity to deliver the ultimate Tidy Trax arena, the decision was Gatecrasher's Summer Sound System.'
He concluded, 'Tidy Trax have always provided 'Music For A Harder Generation' and with the support of Gatecrasher, Tidy Trax will now provide the ultimate festival arena for a Harder Generation.'
Tidy Trax will also be displaying health warnings at the entrance to the arena to help ensure a safe time is had by all while lasting the duration.
Gatecrasher will dominate the main arena with Chemical Generation, Carl Cox, Bed, Bedrock, Twice As Nice and other promoters running stages.
DJ's on the bill for the event include Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, Mauro Picotto, Judge Jules, Fergie, Scott Bond, Chemical Brothers live, Groove Armada live, Danny Tenaglia, Little Louis Vega, Carl Cox, Trevor Rockcliffe, Sasha & Digweed back to back, Nick Warren, Roni Size, Fabio, Nicky Blackmarket, Spoony, Matt Jam Lamont, Lisa Unique and more. Full details off all the arenas are below.
Gatecrasher has been a leader within the global dance scene for some time now. It started out life at the Arches in Sheffield, before moving to the Adelphi then the Republic which they went on to buy. Since then they acquired The Palais also in Sheffield, revamping it and renaming it Bed. Add to that a string of UK and International festival appearances as well as there own and you can see they are a heavy force to be reckoned with. Not content with having the Sheffield scene sewn up, they are slowly taking on the country and the world.
The production at this event will be like no other event you've ever seen before!!!!
